Privacy Policy: Use of Security Cameras (Ring Cameras)

Purpose of Surveillance
We have installed Ring cameras to monitor the car park areas at our lodges in South West Scotland. These cameras are in place to ensure the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property. The cameras are positioned to record only the parking areas and do not capture any private or interior spaces.

Data Collected
The cameras record video footage of the car park area. No audio recording is captured, and the cameras are not directed at any private areas such as lodge interiors, outdoor seating areas, or walking paths.

Storage of Data
All footage is securely stored by Ring on their cloud-based platform.
Footage is retained for 30 days and is automatically deleted after this period unless required for security investigations or legal purposes.
Who Has Access to the Footage
Access to the recorded footage is strictly limited to authorized personnel of Gatehouse Luxury Lodges and, if necessary, law enforcement agencies. We do not share, sell, or otherwise distribute this footage to third parties, except as required by law.

Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR, you have the right to:

Access: Request a copy of any personal data captured about you.
Correction: Request corrections if the data we hold is inaccurate.
Objection: Object to the use of your data, unless required for security or legal reasons.
Erasure: Request the erasure of data in certain circumstances.
